Our Pastor
Daniel Wright began serving as the Pastor of Jeffersonville Baptist Church in January 2020. Before his time at JBC, he served as the Director of Men's Ministry at First Baptist Church in Gray, GA. He also served in a variety of volunteer ministry roles. In addition to serving as Pastor, he is also employed by the Twiggs County Board of Education as a school bus driver. Pastor Daniel obtained his Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018 and his undergraduate degree in History Education from Georgia Southern University in 2004.
Daniel was born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. Before answering the call to ministry, he worked in Georgia's public school system, serving as a high school Social Studies teacher and coach for over 15 years in Evans County, Bulloch County, and Jones County.
He married Laura Thompson Wright of Flovilla, Georgia on November 20, 2010. Laura graduated from Southern Seminary and was employed by the First Baptist Church of Gray for 12 years, serving as the Director of Family Ministries. She is now a middle school math teacher at Twiggs County Middle School. They have four children, Sarah, Joshua, Molly, and Caleb. The Wrights are also licensed foster parents.
Daniel's ultimate desire in ministry is to work diligently to further God’s Kingdom. Through the preaching and teaching of God's Word, he wants to faithfully lead Jeffersonville Baptist Church to make disciple-making disciples to impact Twiggs County and the world for Jesus Christ.
